Route 8 Corridor/Alt Modes Study

NVCOG is conducting a study to assess the feasibility of implementing alternative transportation modes within the Route 8 and Waterbury branch rail line corridors. The project is being led by AECOM Technical Services, Inc. A website has been set up to provide project details.  Click here to access the site.

In support of the study goals and objectives, the NVCOG conducted an on-board count of passengers riding Waterbury branch line trains and a ridership survey.  All inbound and outbound trains were counted and surveyed over a three-day period.  This report summarizes the results:  WBL Passenger Count Summary
